Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 21, 2026
Overview
TubeSound is an audio effect app that processes sound through vacuum tube emulation. Your privacy is important to us, and this policy explains how we handle your data.
Data Collection
TubeSound does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data. All audio processing happens locally on your device in real time. No audio is recorded, uploaded, or analyzed.
In-App Purchases
TubeSound offers a one-time in-app purchase to unlock the full version. All transactions are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not have access to your payment information.
Analytics & Tracking
TubeSound does not use any analytics frameworks, advertising SDKs, or tracking technologies.
Third-Party Services
TubeSound does not integrate with any third-party services. The app does not connect to the internet except for in-app purchase verification handled by Apple.
AUv3 Plugin
When used as an Audio Unit plugin inside a host application (e.g. GarageBand, Logic Pro, AUM), TubeSound only processes the audio provided by the host. It does not access any other data from the host application.
System-Wide Processing (macOS)
On macOS, TubeSound uses the Core Audio Tap API to process system audio. Audio is processed in real time on your device and is never recorded, stored, or transmitted.
Children's Privacy
TubeSound does not collect any data from any user, including children.
Changes
If this policy is updated, the revised version will be posted at this URL with an updated date.
Support
We're here to help
Common Issues
- No audio processing: Make sure TubeSound is enabled and the input/output devices are configured correctly in your system audio settings.
- AUv3 not showing in host: Restart your DAW after installing TubeSound. If the plugin still doesn't appear, check that Audio Units are enabled in your host's plugin settings.
- High CPU usage: TubeSound uses 8x oversampling for accurate tube emulation. On older devices, try reducing other audio processing loads.
- Purchase not restored: Go to Settings and tap "Restore Purchases". Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID used for the original purchase.
Supported Platforms
- macOS: macOS 14.2 or later (system-wide processing via Core Audio Tap API)
- iOS / iPadOS: iOS 17 or later (standalone & AUv3 plugin)
